Έκθεση «1945: το τέλος του πολέμου»
Πρώην Δημόσιο Καπνεργοστάσιο
Το Ίδρυμα της Βουλής των Ελλήνων για τον Κοινοβουλευτισμό και τη Δημοκρατία, με
αφορμή τη συμπλήρωση 80 ετών από το τέλος του B ́ Παγκοσμίου πολέμου,
οργανώνει την έκθεση «1945: το τέλος του πολέμου».
Η έκθεση θα εγκαινιαστεί την Πέμπτη 4 Δεκεμβρίου 2025, στις 19:00 από τον
πρόεδρο της Βουλής, κ. Νικήτα Μ. Κακλαμάνη.
Αποτέλεσμα πολύμηνης έρευνας σε ελληνικά και ξένα αρχεία, δημόσιους φορείς και
ιδιωτικές συλλογές, η έκθεση «1945: το τέλος του πολέμου» εστιάζει στις βασικές
τομές αυτής της τόσο κομβικής χρονιάς, που αποτέλεσε καταλύτη στην ιστορική
πορεία της ανθρωπότητας.
Μέσα σε δώδεκα μήνες, ο κόσμος ήρθε αντιμέτωπος με την αποκάλυψη της
απόλυτης βαρβαρότητας του ναζισμού και τον όλεθρο που αυτή είχε επιφέρει, αλλά
παράλληλα βίωσε και την χαρά της νίκης των ελεύθερων εθνών. Μέσα από
φωτογραφικό υλικό που δεν έχει ξαναπαρουσιαστεί στην Ελλάδα, αλλά και από
πρωτότυπα τεκμήρια από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, συντίθεται ένα αφήγημα
που επιτρέπει στον επισκέπτη να αντιληφθεί τόσο την πυκνότητα των γεγονότων,
όσο και τη βαρύτητα τους για την επόμενη ημέρα. Η απελευθέρωση των
στρατοπέδων συγκέντρωσης, η εισβολή στη Γερμανία και η κατάληψη του
Βερολίνου, η αυτοκτονία του Χίτλερ, η συνθηκολόγηση της Γερμανίας, ο πόλεμος
του Ειρηνικού, οι συναντήσεις των συμμάχων στη Γιάλτα και το Πόστνταμ, η ρίψη
της ατομικής βόμβας στη Χιροσίμα και το Ναγκασάκι, η δημιουργία του ΟΗΕ και η
δίκη της Νυρεμβέργης, αποτελούν κάποιες από τις ενότητες της έκθεσης. Μέσα από
την «περιήγησή» του σε αυτές ο επισκέπτης θα έρθει αντιμέτωπος με τον όλεθρο
αλλά θα ψηλαφήσει και την ελπίδα στην έναρξη της νέας εποχής. Ακριβώς αυτή η
διττή διάσταση του τόσο μεστού γεγονότων 1945, καθιστά το έτος αυτό κομβικό και
εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρον για το τότε αλλά και το σήμερα. Σε μία εποχή διάχυτης
ανησυχίας για το μέλλον, η κατανόηση των συνθηκών με τις οποίες βρέθηκε
αντιμέτωπη η ανθρωπότητα λίγες γενιές πριν τη δική μας, καθίσταται ακόμη πιο
αναγκαία.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της έκθεσης θα οργανωθούν εκπαιδευτικά βιωματικά
προγράμματα για μαθητές Γυμνασίου και Λυκείου καθώς και παράλληλες
εκδηλώσεις.
